You state the obvious.  Of course he got Texas a lot of money...that is how he got them to stay and keep the conference from disbanding.  Do you think Texas was going to do that without money?  He kept Texas in the Big 12 the only way that was possible...with money.  Are you naive enough to think there was another way?

18 year committment?  Who cares?  I couldn't care less about how long the Big 12 is in existence.  But the schools in it do.  Those who stay should use the time wisely.

And yes, all the schools who stay are the only people who should be thanking Beebe.  Who else would?
