  Because unfortunately a lame-duck Big 12 is the best option for them right now. It's either that or likely face a move to a non-BCS conference.

          AP just reported it as well. Says Texas turned down an invitation to the Pac-10 and will "continue to compete" in the Big 12.

          Now if that's the case, who do they get to replace Nebraska and Colorado?

          And if the Big 12 stays together does this make NU look bad for jumping ship?

          This just keeps getting more interesting...
