It's my memory of watching the regents meeting that Perlman made the
comment the penalties or fines would be "inappropriate," I believe he
said.  And I thought at the time he was referring specifically to the
Big12 meetings the week before and the fact that the conference gave
an ultimatum to Nebraska and all other conference members, despite a
lack of assurance that the conference would guarantee stability beyond
2016.  I got the impression that Nebraska would argue that we had no
choice in the matter, and any fines or penalties would not apply in
such a case.

It will be interesting to see what Colorado says when they send them a
bill.  Has anyone heard anything out of Boulder about their move to
the Pac10 and why they jumped?
