I work with a Penn State Alum who graduated before PSU joined the Big 10. He said he has been blown away by all the positive changes at PSU since they joined the Big 10.

Listening to the presentation now.  Perlman went into some detail on
the academic benefits associated with the move.  Dr. Tom is now
presenting the athletic point of view.

And I believe I read an article this week about how the academic side
at Penn State has improved, including salaries and research money,
since they joined.  This is as close to a win-win that I can think of,
except for the big loss for the old Big 8 teams.
