It would be a real bummer if it was NOT accepted at this point!

I wonder if the Regents looked at the non-athletic impact on becoming
a Big Ten school.  

One of the potential minuses (at least from a budgetary point of view) 
it that it may change what the peer institutions are for faculty salary
comparison.  Oh well, they can always lay off more secretaries and janitors.

When Penn State joined the Big Ten, their research grants went up quite
a bit over the next decade, so that could be a plus.
