[Husker] NE to Big Ten

I would not be surprised if NU is the only team invited. Here is why.

Texas has clearly stated that their decision rests on NU's decision.
Therefore, the Big 10 can force Texas' hand by offering to Nebraska. This
leaves the potential of the Big 10 still expanding 2 or 4 more teams.

Once NU accepts, Texas knows they have to do something. Now the Big 10
has destabilized things by adding one team, they have developed an advantage
on Texas (As Texas has to do something). It also puts the pressure on ND, as
it will likely lead the SEC and ACC to start rumbling re: the Big East to
get themselves in position for 16 team conferences.

With this one offer, they may be able to pick up both apples (Texas and ND)
when they fall during the shake up. If not, they can always pick up MU and
some Big East teams.

The best thing in this whole scenario is that ultimately Texas did it to
themselves with their pressure and press leaks.
