IMHO is just the opening salvo.  

Once SOMEONE gets invited for real, the scramble will start in earnest.  
Texas will likely be the second Big XII team to make an official move.

But all that means is that the Big Ten will be waiting to hear from Notre 
Dame (unofficially) before officially inviting anyone else.  If ND doesn't
want to play, then Mizzou and some eastern school (most likely 
Rutgers, unfortunately) will get the nod.
