Depending on who the other schools turn out to be (my choices for a
14 team conference would be Notre Dame, Missouri and Syracuse, I'm not 
sure who I'd want as #15 and #16), I don't expect a division along 
strictly geographical lines.  

Having Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State in one division in football 
and Nebraska in the other is unbalanced enough, adding Notre Dame to the 
'East' division could be worse than the 98 pound weakling that the Big 
XII North has been lately.  

The Big Ten already has a 'designated rival' arrangement, though who in
their right minds chose Pudue as Northwestern's designated rival??
