I think we've all focused far myopically with regard to conference
realignment. My pessimistic view is that all you have to do to redraw
the conferences is circle population areas of the map.

We can pretend that things like academics or tradition matter but I'd
the current moves bear out I think they'll just be collateral damage
rather than deciding factors.

The school that could be given mercy dates would be those such as
Texas Tech which might get political protection from the state.

The avarice and silliness which were the Southwest Conference are
still in full play. Just read between the lines of the B12 meetings.

I'm really wondering if NU fits into anyones plans except their own?
