[Husker] Pac-10 To Invite Six Big XII Teams

And a new TV deal is the only hope the Big XII has to stay around. Problem is that nobody is going to commit to the Big XII until they see some proof that the Big XII is going to be able to generate ACC or SEC type of money...let alone Big Ten money. Problem is that Dan Beebe wants a commitment from schools before he starts negotiating, and that's not going to happen.
I mean, how successful of a ploy would it be to tell a coach to ignore feelers from other schools and trust the athletic director and school to come up with an improved contract next year? You renegotiate the contract now.

And because of TV revenue. The Big 12 may be a better conference than the Big 10, but Northwestern earns more TV money than NU does, by far. TO was not in favor of the Big 12 from the beginning, where everything seems to be about the state of Texas and those schools. It is all about money and NU would make more money as a member of the Big 10 than they do in the Big 12.
"Not the victory but the action.
Not the goal but the game.
In the deed the glory."
