[Husker] If this doesn't get your blood boiling...

I have watched Neb. football since Biff Jones (tough/smart), Glassford
(tough/tough), Devaney (tough/smart) & Osborne (smart/too nice) are a
selected few examples of coaches in my time. Most of the others (9) were
good men but inadequate coaches. When Osborne took over many thought Devaney
had made a mistake. Me included. I was wrong Devaney was a genius. Osborne
proved to also be great coach and a nice anomaly in college football.
Osborne chose Bo Pelini and Osborne knows more about what it takes to win
than all of this group combined. Bo will be a winner as his defensive
credentials have shown. I enjoy being with and watching men and women
committed to winning in athletics. Let Bo be Bo. As Leo said nice guys
finish last.

I think Tom will temper him with a bit of time. He is still a young
coach (for a head coach). You don't want to chain him down too much,
just enough to keep a target off your back. :)

I didn't and still don't have issues with what he said, and how he acted
!!
it warms my heart to have a coach with this fire. I was a bit young when
the
Bob father was coaching, but from what I have heard Bo and Bob are a lot
alike. Dave you must have never said something at the spur of the moment
?

Wow! Now tell us how you really feel! I think you may be making some
quantum leaps in that diatribe, but one thing's for sure, Bo couldn't
have
said it any better himself. <smile>
