As long as we're getting all feisty, I'll chime in on one of my pet peeves:
Talking of "quantum leap" as if it would be a big change.

According to quantum mechanics, only certain energy states can exist. In the
macro world those states are so close together that they appear to be
continuous. For example, not all possible speeds are allowed for your car,
but you don't jump from 60 to 100 mph. In reality your car might "jump"
right from 62.347692156987662340933569870 to 62.347692156987662340933569871
mph. Not exactly a "leap," when you think of it that way.

... And don't get me started on "ATM machines" and "MAC address codes."
