I don't like the guy, but he is and will be a great coach. His head coach record is mis-leading. His pro record shouldn't count for obvious reasons. Raiders???? His 7-6 record at TN was a good record considering that TN was talent bare at end of the 2008 season. Kiffin took poor performing players and they improved. That is how I measure a coach, by improvement through out the season.
Not going to argue with you guys who are sending me the same stats. I'm just saying, see if Lane Kiffin doesn't have a few MNC's before he's done.

Kiffin's record as head coach of the Oakland Raiders was 5-15.(2007 4-12, 2008 1-3) With Tennessee he was 7-6. That would put him at 12-21 as head coach.

What's his record as a head coach, 15-22? He talks well. That's it. Otherwise, he's done nothing to prove he can be a successful head coach. I think if you ask Nick Saban or Urban Meyer, even they would think that Kiffin is a jackass, and that's because he is.

By now, you know there's been a press conference. Are things burning in TN?

Lane will be much better suited for the college game as he will be able to relate to the student athlete. The Raiders are about to fire yet another coach proving that there is no right coach for that franchise.
