It was reported that he had a pinched nerve and could not feel his right are when he went out.  He said he asked to go back in the game later.  He did suit back up.

I can only imagine the disappointment that Colt McCoy felt when sitting
out the biggest (and final) game of his collegiate career with an
injury.  I was surprised; however, to see what I felt was an
uncharacteristic lack of leadership on his part when he returned to the
sidelines only to stand emotionless and withdrawn.

I would expect a leader in his position to return to the sidelines in a
vocal manner in an attempt to rally the troops.  I didn't see any of
that...
