You do have to admit it was an entertaining game, more so than the Husker game and far
more than the Florida snoozer last night. How many bowl games have had a team that came
back from 14 point deficits TWICE in the second half?

Northwestern was something like a 12 point underdog and, as has been the case too often
this season, they gave their opponent a 14 point head start. Interceptions in the end zone
accounted for a 21 point swing in the game (2 TDs off the board for the Cats and the 100
yard pick 6.)

Last season they took Mizzou to overtime despite being big underdogs, too.

I wish Nebraska would schedule a home/home series against Northwestern (I'm still bummed
that Nebraska cancelled out on the return visit of a home/home series against Northwestern
30 years ago), but I suspect that Nebraska, like a lot of other D1 'name' teams, doesn't
want to play upset capable Northwestern at all, and especially not in Evanston.
