Just more proof that the terrorists have won. ;)
I used to be able to take a 2 liter icy cold water jug to Memorial
Stadium. Along comes September 11, and no more water jug. In my section,
there is one public water fountain run by a garden hose.I know that I'm
lucky to have the garden hose. IMO, that is a safety hazard on hot days
like we had just a few short years ago. I actually caught an older woman
who passed out from the heat. It was 100+ air temp, so the cement
stadium was a real heat sink. Now you can bring in a couple 16-20 oz
bottles of water as long as the seal isn't broken. I hate to be a cynic,
but just an easy way for the U to sell more $3 water.
The problem with the seatbacks is that some people has some really wide
plastic frame ones. They took up more than your alloted butt room.
Instead of banning those, just ban them all and rent out more University
owned ones. BRILLIANT!

Included was an announcement of the subject rental program wherein you can reserve your all new backrest for the entire home season or continue to rent them for each game you might attend. The announcement also states that personal backrests will no longer be allowed in the stadium. Interesting.
