[Husker] Doc Lack of Talent

My theory is that a coach like Barry Collier who relies on players buying
into his system 100% can essentially never win at a high level, not if they
need to rebuild the program first, because due to the pressures and
expectations of today's sports environment, such a coach simply won't get as
much time to achieve success as it would truly take. And it certainly will
never happen with AD(D) Steve.

Of course, the trick is to be able to tell whether a coach just needs more
time or doesn't have what it takes. That's where we are with Sadler right
now, and honestly I don't think any of us on the list has the day-to-day
knowledge of the team necessary to make that evaluation. Maybe there's
progress, maybe there isn't. Put a gun to my head, I'd defend the argument
that the program is in much better overall shape now than it was when
Collier left.
