I think that's Bo's real first name too.

There is an interesting name that popped up on the walk-on list; Mark
Pelini. He is Bo and Carl's nephew.

Mark Pelini
6-1, 290, OL, Youngstown, Ohio (Cardinal Mooney HS)
Mark Pelini will walk on to the Husker football program after helping
Cardinal
Mooney High School to a perfect 15-0 record and a victory in the Ohio
Division
III state championship game as a senior. At Cardinal Mooney, Pelini
helped
pave the way for fellow NU recruit Braylon Heard, who rushed for 1,973
yards
and 24 touchdowns last season. Mark is the nephew of head coach Bo
Pelini
and defensive coordinator Carl Pelini.

Yes, but not long after that he ruled out Oregon and said Oregon State
was back in.

Oh the joys of recruiting.

Didn't Owa publicly say like a week ago that OSU was out? See, this is
why I try not to get worked up about recruiting particulars. Owa would
be nice, but we've already got an insanely deep defensive class, and I
think the characterists of the class as a whole are more important than
the individuals As you said, (quality) depth is the key.

Mitchell is a 3* CB from the LA area, so it is 8:30 for him. Not a huge
shock he has not sent his LOI in yet. He could be waiting for a last
second
offer, but judging from the list of offers he has (Idaho, SD State,
WSU,
CSU, UTEP) I doubt he picked on of them over NU

I hope we get Owa, but I wanted 2 of the 3 (which we have gotten). I
really
just did not want to get shut out on signing day. That being said, a
good OL
would be nice. We need depth.

So far the only commit that hans't faxed in is Joshua Mitchell.

Rumors are getting stronger for Owa to UCLA and that we're going to
offer
former Texas Tech 3-star OL commit Denton Simek in his place.

Take it for what it's worth. Anything can happen.
