[Husker] Game

Yes the offensive line (how ironic, OFFENSIVE) was totally outmanned tonight, but some of the blame needs to fall on #3 who, for a guy who runs a 4.3 or whatever looked like he was stuck in the mud whenever there was pressure up the middle. I don't know how hurt he was before the ankle tweak but to me it seems like he really panics when pressure comes, and when he runs to scramble he tends to run directly into a defender (and take huge shots in the process). I don't think I've seen a more careless player at this level when it comes to protecting the football, I don't know if the kid has tiny hands or what, but putting the ball on the ground several times a game will get his ass shipped out to WR or worse, transferred somewhere else.

Straight line speed he is tough to beat but he almost seems to run right into trouble. If the kid can learn to be more elusive he might shatter some QB rushing records, but quite honestly I don't see #3 playing QB next year, at least not at Nebraska, particularly if Starling is everything they say he is (and picks football).

And the careless flips and over the shoulder tosses have got to stop, I cannot believe a player at this level thinks things like that are a good idea. I am not sure at all what he is thinking when that happens (and it seems to happen a LOT).

This game was a HUGE step back, it almost seemed like Watson was tanking it on purpose based on some of the play calls. Has anyone else ever seen TWO delay of game penalties in a row? Pathetic.

Steve, You beat to the opinion about the O line. Also maybe BC needs to go.
