Hey Dave I respect your opinion and you make some good points but have you ever personally met Coach Pelini?
Can you really say you dislike the guy without having met him (which I assume you have not)? Are you really basing this 'dislike' on quotes in newspapers/online/wherever and actions you deem 'embarrassing" that we all see in the heat of the moment on the sidelines? And yeah I understand the whole 'he represents the university' and all that, which is what I'm sure people will write in response to this, but he was hired to do a job by other people who also represent the university who were also fully aware of his behavior (and who also happen to know him personally).
Just my own worthless opinion but your dislike for the coach seems a bit overblown, quite honestly.

Nope. Bo himself has made a definitive case for these labels about his
personality. By his own words and actions. I would be wasting my breath
trying to recite the litany of direct quotes and actions that dates back to
2003. Anyone that doesn't know what they are, hasn't been paying
attention. I don't even qualify with a "just my opinion". Bo is a bully, a
control freak, a jerk, an as...oops, don't want to use that one again. I
think you get my drift. But he is also a very good football coach for whom
I wish nothing but success in that area. Now many people do not care in the
slightest about the character of the head coach...that's fine. That's ok.
I can understand that. I am just not one of those people. I do care how
the head coach acts. Why can't that be ok too? I don't want him to get
fired, I don't want him to fail in his job, I want the team..and thereby
him...to win every game. I just don't like him. I'm not proud of him, I am
embarrassed by him. I wish he wouldn't act that way. There you go. So my
feelings about him are certainly ambivalent. I like the guy for his success
with the football team. I don't like the guy because he is the way he is.
Coach 'em up Bo...beat Washington!
Whew...how was that for not elaborating?
Dave
