I can see your points but I had a different take on it. I think the Miami
AD called Pelini and talked it over. He had some interest and didn't say
no, but probably said let me think about it or something like that. He's
probabIy pissed that someone in Miami talked. I don't think it had anything
to do with Perlman. I was ok with Perlman's public comments about Pelini's
behavior. He was as appalled as everyone else by what he saw, more so
because our football team represents the university in a big way. I'd want
the public to know I didn't like it too. Is Ohio State the only job that
Pelini would leave Nebraska for? I don't think so. I think definitely NFL
jobs would be attractive to him and probably some other college jobs as well
if the situation was right.
