This seems to make the most sense to me. Two people who know each other somewhat well. Holcutt needs a coach and thinks, "hey I'll at least bounce it off of Bo." Bo is flattered, thinks of the warm Miami weather and recruiting hot bed and at least doesn't say "No way"...leaves the door open a bit, but deep down knows that he doesn't really want to leave NU, especially for a program that puts about 25,000 people in the seats in a good year!
By the way, no matter what "dream job" I have, I'm going to at least listen to a potential employer if they come knocking.
If we keep Bo this year (highly likely), be ready for a yearly ritual of offers (a 'la the courtship every season of Kirk Ferentz by NFL teams until they finally got the clue he didn't want to leave Iowa City.)
