Be careful who we blame for this brushfire.  While the AD said he
talked with two coaching prospects, some unnamed source said he wanted
to talk with Pelini.  Again, its that "unnamed source" that does all
the damage, and the paper is happy to pass that little nugget on with
no support for it.  Did they try to contact Pelini?  Nothing in the
article says they did.  When the Wierd Jerald asks Bo and Tom, we get
pretty firm denials.  I'm not sure the U is responsible for this; the
paper took a rumor, mixed it with facts and reported it all as facts.
Then sits back and waits to see what comes of it.

Ah, journalism in the new century.
