MY opinion is that this game may have been a 30 point loss if not for our defensive coaching/coaches. Nearly 500 yards and 23 points? That doesn’t happen often. And Martinez played about as poorly as I've seen a QB play in a long time, but I am confident he will get better.

But the player is NOT coached to throw the ball no matter what. if the
pass is there, throw it ... If not, throw it away and kick the FG.
Martinez forced a throw into coverage while on the run. That's not a
failure in coaching or play calling. That's just execution.
