[Husker] Fw: Why the Holiday Bowl sucks least

A little while after it was officially announced the 'Skers would be playing Washington, AGAIN , our daughter made this observation:

Having to play Washington after soundly beating them is a really, really, terrible reward for a hard fought, long, tough season.  However, if you look at the possible bowl matchups, as awful as this one is, it's actually the best option. 



The Insight Bowl matches Big10 #4 or 5 with Big12 #4.  While a matchup with Iowa wouldn't be a bad thing, there's no way the Big12 office was going to let that Big12 bowl be a Big10 bowl, let alone a preview of our new "Thanksgiving rival".  




Texas Bowl.  Big10 #6 vs Big12 #6.   hmm...where could that be played? 



TicketCity Bowl (the WHAT?) Big10 #7 vs Big12 #8.  again with the double whammy. Big10 and it's in......Texas. 



Alamo Bowl matches the Big12 #3 vs PAC10 #2 in...TEXAS. 



Fiesta Bowl.  yes. well. nothing to say there. 



Cotton Bowl is SEC#3 or 4 vs Big12 #2.  Did you know that's played.....in TEXAS?!?!?

Bowl.  BigEast #4 vs Big12 #7.  My 1st choice, simply because I would be able to go, but KState got there first, and there's simply no way we're bad enough to be eligible anyway. 



Holiday Bowl. 
Big12 #5 and PAC10 #3.  It's in San Diego!  What's not to like about
San Diego?  We like them, they like us, it's no where near texas, it's happytime!  Ok, so there's
that little issue of a rematch with a team that struggled to get
to .500. 





And there we are.  The last game of the longest. season. ever.
