That also being said, I think most of the respect died in June when Nebraska 
jumped.  Mellinger denies that fact, but believe me, it exists.  And at it's 
core, everything being written on both sides of this argument is colored by 
Nebraska's departure. We knew all of this was going to happen in June, with 
respect to the other schools having a "hate" and a loss of "respect".

Husker fans expected to get the shaft on issues, so when the calls went our way, 
many fans jumped to the conspiracy theory. Nebraska fans appear to be guilty of 
using vile language, but the actual "threat level" was vastly overstated by Dan 
Beebe, who went out of his way to paint Husker fans as crazed lunatics last 
Friday.  The Dallas Police Department isn't investigating this situation 
further, and there is no other evidence that any other law enforcement agency is 
looking into it either, according to the World-Herald.

Glenn,
You need to take off your scarlet colored glasses for a moment. While Mellinger 
went a bit overboard, some of what he stated is true.

The crazies who see a Big XII conspiracy behind every rock, who telephoned and 
emailed obscene comments and death threats to Dan Bebee, applaud Bo Pellini's 
boorish behavior, and have been acting like petulent children have tarnished the 
reputation of the University of Nebraska and its football program.

Other Big XII fans may not necessarily liked us but they did respect us. That 
seems to now be a thing of the past.
