And where there's smoke, there's usually smoke. Firemen spend a lot
of time eating it, lawyers spend a lot of time shoveling it, fans
spend a lot of time in it, but don't seem to realize it.

I'm fine with the first paragraph, seems plausible, but the rest is
just rumor and heresay. So, let me get this straight, the report of
the conversation supposedly between Bo and the Martinez's, is that a
transcript? An account from an observer? Another made-up event?

Hey, if the kid quits, he quits. We'll never know for sure what went
on. I mean, I don't even bother listening to the Bo Pelini Show cuz I
know I'm not going to hear anything I already didn't know. The same
goes for any other coach (though I'm beginning to like Doc Sadler more
and more because he talks about stuff on his show).

But what seems to be missing from this internet story are some widely
reported 'facts' concerning turf toe on the other foot, the one
opposite the sprained ankle. The one with the boot. Ever had one?
Could be worse than the sprain. Booting is pretty common. But
meanwhile, by all means, let's all wallow in the speculation and
rumor. Hey, let's just forget about Saturday night altogether. Heck,
this is more fun anyway.

Sorry. This kind of stuff is like a seed stuck in your teeth - you
just want to get it out of there.
