[Husker] article from Fort Worth

The attitude of, "...we must win Saturday..." concerns me.  NOT because I 
disagree with it.  But, because it reminds me of the attitude which prevailed 
prior to the game of Oct. 16, 2010.  The attitude was similar if not different 
to the extent of sounding, "We will win Saturday."

We all know what happened on 10/16.  I hope the Huskers that take the field this 
Saturday don't feel that they are obligated to win, but rather they WANT TO 
WIN.

I feel like I should comment on it as it would somehow give credence to that 
crap. 




I will anyway.  It WASN’T NEBRASKA that destroyed the Big XII.  It was Texas and 
Beebe.  Tom told Texas and Beebe, “Look, we know 6 of the teams are looking at 
the Pac 10, give us a reason to believe you’re sticking around.”  Beebe/Texas 
responds with an ultimatum that we’re supposed to commit to the Big XII and 
they’ll think about it.  Should we really stick to a conference that nobody say 
they’re committed to keeping it around?



Second, the whole article is about how nobody will miss NU and we were 
irrelevant.  Yet, at the end she says that nobody cares that CU is leaving 
because they don’t count.  In other words, we must be relevant to the conference 
because she clearly cares.



Oh the arrogance and ignorance.  WE MUST WIN SATURDAY.  I can’t wait to walk off 
the field with their trophy and never have to worry about them again.
