I'm not sure noble is the word I would use. Smart might be a good one. 
Chancellor Perlman and TO would not be doing their duty to the 
University *as a whole*, if they didn't take the Big Ten deal when it 
was offered. The Big Ten Network and revenue sharing is a great thing 
for athletics, but the enhanced research potential is the deal maker, 
IMO. How could you not want that type of benefit for the students and 
faculty?

Next year, I suddenly have a couple degrees from a Big Ten school!
