I'll caveat this with "definitely a penalty, and he should be fined for
throwing the QB to the ground".
That said, I can see one of two things coming from this. 1) O-Linemen will
give him payback throughout the season. 2) Opposing QBs will get rid of the
ball quickly, if they realize he's coming
OK...there's a third possibility. The is the NFL, and it's preseason. No
one will care once the regular season starts.
He does need to learn, however, that in the NFL, QB's are "protected". He
can do that to an RB with little consequences. If he continues to do that
to QBs, however, he won't be playing in the league too long.
