I haven't seen anyone mention the term, strength of schedule, in this discussion. Isn't this used in some of the computer BCS rankings?

VT is sixth in both polls this week. I expect that from the coaches but not
the writers. It's clear that people were in too much of a rush to elevate
Miami.
I think VT is not as good as they're rated now, but they're not as bad as
they were rated after losing to Bama. About 10th sounds right. And the fact
that the Huskers should have beaten that team has me confident going into
Big XII play.
