[Husker] The VaTech game was a lot like the 1996 ASU game

I don't know how someone can fault a single player when the game is played for 60 minutes. As I posted previously, there was really only 1 'bad' play by the defense all game.
This game reminded me a lot of the 1996 ASU game that Nebraska lost 0-19. It was Jake Plummer's senior year and Nebraska was starting a new QB. Jake Plummer was able to scramble for time, and when was able to exploit the fact the secondary was moving to cover the run.
Let's be honest here, Tyrod Taylor is a talented athlete that made a great play. And let's not forget that VaTech is the two time reigning ACC champion.
While the loss was hard to take, the team should be better for it. And I firmly believe that a big road game is exactly what Nebraska needs to prepare for Missouri game. Here's to hoping there is no let down this Saturday and then it off to conference play.
Go Big Red!
