Skylar, I can't disagree. If we as fans think the loss was horrible,
how do we think the players feel? But it wasn't that play that did us
in. It didn't help, but if we had scored a touchdown when we had the
ball with a first down and goal on the six (arguably we did twice on
that same series), that play would have hurt, but it wouldn't have
meant the game. The closest VaTech could have come was a tie,
including a 2 pt conversion. And remember, five field goals is great,
but that means no touchdowns in or near the red zone 5 times. So many
things happened before and after that play, you can't blame any one
player for the loss.

What I'm really curious about is how those folks feel today who
thought it would be 1) a blow out by VaTech, and/or 2) a close loss to
VaTech. That seemed to be a majority opinion, though a sizable number
of fans thought it would be a close win by the Huskers. I'm just
wondering if the folks who thought we would lose a close one are
relatively satisfied that we lost a close one. Or is it more the
manner in which we lost it? Just curious.
