Tommy, I tend to agree with your observation about the optimism on this List. However, what I thought I saw in the play of the D Saturday was rather vanilla...I don't RECALL much in the way of blitzes, thus little pressure on the QB. The secondary did come through pretty well, helped by some off the target passes. I also thought we didn't show much on O either.
Those results could be the result of 'keep it simple' and/or not show VT anything to prep for, or other factors (sub-par play). I tend to believe the former. I personally liked the tackling I saw by the Black Shirts.
