[Husker] Offense

Well if you were talking to me then I must say that I have never cared for Watson as a coach. I didnt think he did a whole lot as OC at CU and didnt understand why we hired him and really didnt understand why we kept him. I stated when the whole search for BCs replacement was going on that I would love to see a combination of TG and BP as head coach and either OC or DC. I dont think Watson will be here after this year for what ever reason.

What point do you not understand?  This has absolutely nothing to do with coaching.  Adjustments don't hang on to the ball.  Players do.  Schemes are for during the week and the players have to execute and do the little things like block, tackle and throw and catch...and, of course, do not put the pigskin on the carpet. If this was about coaching then it would have only been one  or two players.  There were fumbles or interceptions from several different players.... starters...freshmen, the water boy, etc... This need that many on this list feel that we have to can someone because of a very crappily played game in the turnover area is absurd...frankly many people called for Frank's head and we Billy Boy and the NFL flop.

The staff is fine...so fine that I have heard Shawn Watson's name tossed around for many possible openings.  He is an excellent coach that, in talking to many players at the Outland dinner last year, really respect.

Players play the game they have to execute...they have to play...or you get beat. When you fumble...you sit...and they did...but Oh NO...the next player fumbled too....I was expecting a call but they didn't want to take the chance on an old fat guy trying to run the ball.

Would love to see Turner Gill come be the OC, doubt he would do it though as he is a HC already. Bo would probably not care as long as they won, I have heard that he and Turner got along very well when he was here before. And Tom is the AD not a coach so what input should he have? He had his input when he hired Bo.

This is a terrible offensive team. After years of watching Nebraska teams
this must be the worst darting back to the 1950's. I cannot remember so many
critical turnovers in one game. We do need a offensive coordinator that has
ability to adjust his play calling as the game progresses. He should also
know who is capable of playing and not put in injured players. There are so
many things wrong with this team there is need to mention them.

Three questions-can we get Turner Gill to handle the offense? Will Pelini
tolerate such a move? Where is the Tom Osborne in put?
