[Husker] Husker injuries...

I heard a funny one...

Lincoln, NE - A house in Lincoln, NE was vandalized by someone hurling a
dozen eggs. After examining the evidence, NU Quarterback Zac Lee was
arrested and charged. When asked why the police suspected Zac Lee, they
replied, "Only 3 of the 12 eggs hit the house."

P.S. Zac is probably 8th or 9th on the list of people most responsible for
the loss yesterday, although he'll probably shoulder most the blame in the
eyes of the fans (Give me Paul, Holt, Helu *sort of*....)

OK, this is pretty funny.  We were still in the game because they were
playing Iowa State.  For all the talk of their improvement, they are still a
very bad team.  And without their starting QB and RB.  And they were on the
road.  Everything was against them except our offense.

Did Jesse Smith get that last interception?  He deserved it.  Guy played one
great game.

Did you hear what happened after the game?  One of the Huskers fumbled a bar
of soap in the shower and several Huskers injured themselves as they slipped
and fell while trying to pick it up.  They'll be out of action indefinitely
as they recover from their injuries.

Of course this didn't really happen, but anything is possible with our
Larry, Moe, and Curly offensive unit.  And that's "offensive" as in
disgusting, revolting, repugnant...

On a more serious note, I feel really bad for the team and for the coaches.
Clearly, a crisis of confidence arose after the first couple of fumbles and
things just spiraled out of control with each egregious turnover.  As some
of the coaches indicated after the game, it was actually pretty surprising
that they had a chance to win until almost the bloody end.

Let's hope they practice holding on to the rock this week.  If the team
psychologist is still around, they should get him to work overtime until the
team's mental errors get fixed.  If he's not around, Coach Osborne should go
find him on the double and bring him back into the department for some
serious work.  With the Big 12 North championship still a possibility, there
is a lot to play for.

GO BIG RED!!!
