[Husker] Better or Worst

Got to agree with Mike's post.  You can qutoes stats all you want.  I saw Callahan's offenses handled easily on many occasions by good teams.  Lots of games scoring points in the 4th quarter of a game that had long ago been lost by a wide margin.  No offense put on the field by Nebraska from 2003-2007 could be termed "great".  (Nothing has changed there.)

Bill Callahan's offenses at Nebraska were never great.  Occasionally decent to perhaps good (see 2006).  But in 2004, 2005, and in 2007 when Sam Keller was at quarterback...  eeeeeeyuuuuuuuuuccchhhh.

This is completely different.  In 2007, we had a horrible defense and a lousy offense much of the season.  The final 3 games skewed things a bit because the offense got the ball back so quickly (more possessions), and the offense actually became productive.  But it wasn't a great offense much of the season; in fact, it was downright bad at times.  (No touchdowns in 7 quarters against Missouri and Okie State, then four more quarters against A&M and Texas...)  This year, we've got an outstanding defense at least.
