I don't think the point is that BC's offenses were bad. The point is that you have a head coach who's good at his particular expertise - BC on offense, Pelini on defense.
We had a great offense under BC. We have a great defense under BP. Both are missing the other side of the ball.
We gave Bill Callahan four years, and he had no respect for our past, or for Nebraska traditions or otherwise. If people are upset enough to consider his firing, God help us, we're just bloody doomed.
