I am not sure I hold the D fully responsible for the long pass. They
had them 3 and out then the special teams didn't play heads up.

Subject: [Husker] Well, Let's See

Two weeks ago, NU was on top of the world. By golly, we were back after
the Missouri game! Looking at 11-1, worst 10-2 with a trip to meet
Texas in the Big 12 Championship. Now two weeks later, we can't score
because the offense can't hold onto the ball and the defense can't
generate much in the way of turnovers to help out (not a knock on the
defense, they are playing superior football other than the turnover
thing). Coaching may have cost us in the TT game but certainly not
today, this loss was pretty much on the offense. Now all those games
that seemed walkover wins before seem to have flipped to at best even up
with a final 7-5 record a very real likelihood, maybe as low as 6-6,
worse if the players let this get in their heads and stay there. Can
this team get its combined psyche together enough to get rid of the
fumble phobia and perform at a level expected of NU football? Will Cody
Green get the chance to show what he can do? Will NU find
new ways not to score inside the 10 yard line? (That one scares me the
most, I would like to think there aren't any more ways to blow scoring
chances that close to the goal line) Guess we'll know over the next six
weeks or so.

Bright spots? All American performance by Suh. Defense played very
well despite one slip on the long pass. No killer penalties on the
offense today. Other than that, not a pretty day.
