[Husker] Games on Versus network

And Bud Wilkinson doing the color commentary (gag). I don't remember a color TV until
the late 60's in our house and Fremont didn't get cable until I was
nearly out of high school in the mid-70's. We did have the second
antenna on the roof turned to get the Lincoln station in addition to
the three Omaha stations on the first antenna. Particularly helpful
for the state HS basketball finals each year. But then I remember
walking 20 miles in blinding blizzards uphill in both directions to get
to school every day. Memories cloud with each passing year.
How
did the sports journalists ever do their job back then without hundreds
of channels to pick from as they sat in the comfort of their own
homes? Heaven forbid, they must have actually had to go out and brave
the elements to actually watch in person!

We sure have come a long way from the days when ABC broadcast their ONE college football game every Saturday. Anyone remember having an antenna or, gasp, watching a game in black and white?
