While sitting in Section 30, the team effort that I saw on the field was top
notch in one aspect...Defensive Line... these guys are mean-n-nasty.  But
they can not carry the whole team.

I think that the Coaches were a big part of the loss.  They could not get
the team focused after the come-from-behind "W" in Columbia.   Bo and staff
need to figure out what they want to be and what they want to run based on
the talent that they have.  We have some square pegs being squeezed into
round holes.  It won't work.

I do not claim to know how they keep the 20 year kids from believing
what they read and hear on the radio/sports talk, etc...  but, this is
another big problem for Bo.  He wears his emotions on his sleeve and he
needs to have a level head so the team does it's best week-after-week,
drive-after-drive, and play-after-play at each and every position.   I'll
suggest some Perini-Osborne therapy this week.

12 penalties against any team in Game 1 of the season is minimally
acceptable.  12 calls in the middle part of the season shows a lack of team
discipline.  I know that Coaches are not allowed to comment on lousy
officiating, so let's not argue whether it's 10 or 12 penalties; or even 8..
we need a more fundamentally disciplined team!

Fundamental blocking (and tackling) is also lacking.

Lee may end up being the sacrificial lamb and he may only be an
after-thought in Husker history...

The roller coaster ride of 2009 should be 'up' next week!   Nebraska 48,
Iowa State 10.  Hang on for the ride as Bo seeks to manage Momentum.
