[Husker] Tentative passing

I had read a few commentaries about the QB play in TTech that said something along the lines of Lee looked tentative throwing downfield and held on to the ball too long, not wanting to force a throw. Didn't we read stories back from the spring and fall camp that Lee was slinging the ball into too many tight places and the coaches were working on removing this gun-slinger attitutude and making him smarter about his throw choices? If so, couldn't we say the result of Lee's tentative play is a byproduct more of the coaches' teaching and less due to the player himself? If so, a inserting new player wouldn't seem to warrant the expectation of providing a boost in this area.
