[Husker] Wildcat formation (fwd)

The idea behind the formation is deception, not power. If you want Suh
running, just go heavy and plow him into the line. Would be a complete
waste of an athlete.

Wildcat - funny how the NFL term gets used all over now for something
that is essentially about 60-some years old. They like it that way -
the NFL - they'd like you to believe they invent everything because
that's just how bloody arrogant they are (ala Bill Callahan thinking
his offense would blow away the college world, and Charlie Weis
initial comments about schemes and match ups).

Single Wing, Wing-T, Wildcat, whatever. It's not about the guy to whom
the ball is snapped. Again, it's about deception. Put someone in
motion from a wide split position... someone like Jeremy Maclin, or
hey, how 'bout Niles Paul. As he moves across the defense, someone has
to react. If they don't, he gets the ball as he's already running
around the end.

If they cover him, then you're running something akin to a zone read,
quarterback is going to hand off to a running back or keep it himself.
Or in Tebowesque fashion, throw the ball to a tight end who's been
forgotten.

Deception, deception, deception. Given that Nebraska's line is proving
to be average instead of good or great, maybe deception is a great
option (hyuk, pun!)
