[Husker] Recruits at QB?

Yes, Tyler is a QB. As someone else mentioned, he is a bit shorter than
Blaine (6'1" vs 6'5"), although I disagree that he's not as good of a
runner. He definitely comes from good pedigree, but we'll see as to how
that translates. He isn't as 'heralded' as Blaine, that's for sure. Blaine
was a 5* and rated by most as a top-10 QB in the country.
On a side note, I've heard stories that Blaine really wanted to come to
Nebraska, but didn't think Watson was going to be retained when it became
obvious that Callahan was going to be fired. He then switched his commit to
Missouri and ended up not switching back because he didn't want to switch
his commitment again.
We would have been lucky to have Blaine, IMO. He's a very good QB that's
only going to get better. The next two years will be tough against him,
that's for sure.

Skylar...good post. Is Gabbert's brother a QB? for some reason I thought
he was something else.
I'm definitely pulling for Cody to become all he can be. I guess it's just
that when I see some young quarterbacks, though they be very young and very
inexperienced and very not ready, you can tell they have "it". this is hard
to explain, but you can see "it". Talent, poise, raw skills, leadership, I
don't know what "it" is, but I know it when I see it. I didn't see it in
Green. But he has a long way to go and you never know.

1) Gabbert's brother is committed to NU. He 'flirted' with MU for a while,
but has lately said he's going to NU and wouldn't consider any other offer.
He is our only QB commit of this class.
2) Keep in mind that another year experience does WONDERS for a QB,
especially a true frosh to sophomore (Cody Green). Think of the first year
of Zac Taylor in the system vs his 2nd or how much fewer the mistakes from
Ganz were his senior year (and remember he was in the system for 4 years).
BIG difference. Our QBs are talented, just need to do some learning. I
think Spano will push both of them, very unfortunate he got injured this
year. Don't give up on Green, he's got the tools to be VERY VERY VERY good.
He just needs to learn short route passing and game management (aka get his
reads down).

The only one I've heard mentioned is Gabbert's brother from Missouri.
We're still pretty high on his list, but Pinkel has been putting a
rush on him to come to Missouri. He's not a mirror of his brother,
he's short, rather small, and not as good a runner. But apparently he
has a live arm and is pretty accurate. I believe he's the only one,
probably because we have several already in reserve after Lee and
Green.
