That was a nice road win for the NU men.  This team has quite a
bit of depth and is playing hard (as they did last year).  On the
current roster, they have a couple of bigger players in Diaz 6'11"
and Ubel 6'10", but having watched one of the exhibition games,
the big addition will be Christian Standhardinger 6'8".  He appears
to have better strength than Diaz and Ubel and has very good feet.
I think he may be the star of the team after sitting out 12 games
for playing on a German team that had some paid players.  I think
the NU men has a great shot to make the NCAA tournament this year.
It has been a pleasure to watch Doc's teams.

The NU women may be NU's best basketball team ever (men or women).
They have much the same team as last year plus the return of their
star, Kelsey Griffin, who was injured last year, and a promising
freshman point guard, Lindsey Moore.  They have rolled over every
opponent and are rated by Sagarin as the 15th best team in the
nation, but have not faced a top 50 opponent:
