Dear All,
A 20.5 spread against # 3 ranked team in the country. Who in their right
mind would even think the underdog has a snowballs chance in Hades?
The # 3 ranked team has thrashed their opponents by an average of 30+
points!
But, hey the underdog has a remarkable place-kicker... moving fast forward,
the guy could probably make 83% of his FG attempts when he gets to the NFL.
The kicker was Phil Dawson. The # 3 ranked team was Nebraska and the
underdog strolled out of St Louis with a 10 point victory. Perhaps history
will repeat itself.
I have two predictor models:
One suggests Texas 22-9, and the other suggests Texas 20-19.
The Blackshirts are *that* good making the opposing team gain 26 yds per
point. Throw all of the predictor models out hthe window and expect a close
game.

Well my "foolproof" score predictor had NU over Colorado 27-13 and it looked
pretty foolproof until that prayer was answered at the end of the game...not
sure what the Husker defenders were thinking there, but luckily it didn't
matter unless you have a Las Vegas zip code.
The same predictor does not like next Saturday's chances for the Huskers,
but I believe Texas is ripe for an upset especially after letting the kid on
A&M run and pass all over them the other night. SO, I will give the
'foolproof' score, and then what I "hope" the score will be based on some
other things that computers can't understand!
Texas 34
Nebraska 13
Ouch. But, here is what I think will happen-
Nebraska 24
Texas 21
And I also believe this game will come right down to the end.
GBR,
Scott in NY
