Unless they've reached a buyout agreement with Hawkins, I wouldn't expect Hawkins to say anything else. Until you are fired, you have a job to do and you should plan on doing it. After all, if you aren't fired, you still have a chance to pull things out of the fire, no matter how unlikely it is. Survive and advance.
In my mind, it's not a question as to whether Dan Hawkins should be fired or not...but rather whether Colorado can (a) afford to buy out Hawkins and (b) hire someone better. Unless some "boosters of substance" become involved and change the environment (both financial and regulatory), I'm skeptical of Colorado's ability to do either.
