Well, so far one of my bold predictions for this season has been
completed, Nebraska as won the Big-XII North and will play in the
Championship. While I predicted that they will win it all next year, they
do have a shot at it this year.

I agree with the recent posts regarding Colorado. I would never count
them out. They still have the Nebraska game marked in their calendar, and
this year it is their Bowl game. At least they cannot be the spoiler this
season. A win for Nebraska would provide a great deal of momentum leading
into the Big-XII Championship game. I too, would like to see Nebraska get
some revenge for 1996. And the Big-XII Championship game has been the
home for a lot of upsets (Coach Osborne was prophetic when he predicted
the impact a championship game would have).

Zac Lee is best throwing when he rolls out of the pocket. The running
game is best when there is a leading blocker. I was surprised to see that
a leading blocker was not used yesterday. I believe that some of those
short gainers or runs for loss would not have occurred if a lead blocker
was present.

It was good to hear Coach Bo Pelini comment on how he wants to control
the line of scrimmage and use the running game to compliment the defense
this season.

The announcers made too much of the pass option on offense. I believe
Nebraska will use it (maybe sparingly against Colorado), but most
definitely against Texas.

I liked to hear Coach Pelini comment that he is taking it one game at a
time. Colorado is next, then Texas. Here's to hoping Nebraska can fulfill
another of my bold predictions this Friday against Colorado and win their
ninth game.

Beat the Buffs!

Go Big Red!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone (and a huge thank you to you Mike Nolan for
providing us fans to a place to opine, rant, and flame one another all in
the name of Nebraska!).
