There's a lot going on here that's not public knowledge...and there's already a lot of knowledge that is public. You've got players and parents of players complaining to the AD about the coach's abuse. A meter maid that says borderline assault occurred because of parking tickets. And now "poking a player in the chest". So the AD meets with the entire team and launches an internal investigation into the coach's behavior. This to the most successful coach in decades and who brought the program back from the dead. There's more all right and they are clearly very worried about this guy.

I don't understand the Mangino effort either unless he really is
unreasonably harsh with his players. The guy has Kansas football at
realistically the highest level it's going to reach - I mean, they were
favored to win the North this year. Think about how absurd that would have
sounded ten years ago.
