Maybe KU can hire Jillian Michaels of Biggest Loser fame to help train him. She could at least converse with him on his level (according to the reports from the campus security office on his parking ticket fiasco).

I don't know what would be best for him in the way of treatment, but it sure seems he should do something to get positive results. I could well imagine that the U, players, and parents in addition to his friends, all have a 'stake' in his health. This takes 'big is beautiful' too far IMHO.

I know it was in bad taste and all but the Unsportsmanlike Conduct
guys in Omaha had a phone in game last week that had callers guess
which weighed more, Mangino or certain pieces of military hardware.
And I'm sure everyone has heard the story of how Mangino was driving
himself to Arrowhead Stadium last year for the Mizzou game, got off
the Interstate for a break, but then got lost trying to get back on.
He stopped someone on the sidewalk and asked "How do I get back to
435?" The guy replied "Skip lunch for starters."
Pa-dum!!
But all seriousness aside, I'd agree. He reminds me of the little
girl in Willy Wonka that swells up like a blueberry. I think KU would
be foolish to try and replace him. He's had some real success at a
school that is basketball first (and maybe second). I'd rather see
them work harder to keep him on his feet, healthy, and creating
problems in the Big XII North. While it would be easier on us if KU
and others go down, a rising tide raises all boats, if you know what I
mean.
